Spellchecking In OpenOffice Writer
OK, it’s one of those things you really can’t do without – or at least I can’t anyway!
When you install OpenOffice it comes with the magical spellchecker ready and working and what a good thing that is – or is it?
There are a good many people who prefer to get their thoughts down on paper without the bother of having to keep stopping to correct mistakes and for them the red wavy line of the spellcheck is an annoyance beyond belief.
My open source software blog, ‘Free As In Air’, covers the spellcheck in OpenOffice Writer in today’s post. And, it is well worth reading for an overview of how it works and, most importantly, instructions that allow you to turn it off!
