My post in my amateur radio blog, ‘Listening’, is currently covering the fascinating subject of Meteor Scatter. This is an exotic but popular and fun way of receiving signals from stations a long way away.
And it’s not just for amateur radio operators either; signals can be received from ordinary FM and TV stations if you know when and where to listen.
There is something rather magical knowing that what you are hearing, even if it’s only a ‘ping’, is being reflected from a meteor as it streaks across the sky above your head.
This is the second post but there is a link in the blog to the first post in case you missed it.
A link to my blog is here.
